Frequently asked questions
Is it private, and can I use it offline?
Your file is processed in this browser without uploads or storage. After the offline installation finishes, these tools work without a connection. Wait for the ready-offline message at the bottom of the page before disconnecting.
Which file types can I open?
Open JPG/JPEG, PNG or WebP images. Animated images and other formats are not supported. The original file stays unchanged on your device.
Why is the download a JPEG?
JPEG offers broad compatibility and adjustable quality for KB limits. Transparency is placed on white. JPEG is lossy, so inspect details and signature strokes; this tool does not export transparent PNGs.
How does the KB target work?
1 KB is 1,024 bytes. Automatic quality search finds a JPEG strictly below your maximum, not an exact byte count. Simple images can be much smaller. If the limit cannot be met, choose a higher maximum.
Is there an image size limit?
Inputs may be up to 25 MB and no more than 40 megapixels. Output is capped at a 4096 px long side. Very large files may need more memory than your device has. If you enter width and height, each can be from 1 to 4096 px.
